Rev. Alicia Hudnall
Pastor
Alicia Hudnall was born in Silver Spring, Maryland, to the late and great Frances A. Black. She grew up in the AME church and has held membership and served in various capacities at Bethel A.M.E. in Reidsville, North Carolina, First AME in Manassas, Virginia, and Falls Road AME Church in Baltimore, Maryland. In 1996, she married and committed to spend the rest of her life loving Rev. Aaron A. Hudnall, Jr. She is the proud mother of three wonderful adults, Naomi, Aaron III, and Faith.
Rev. Alicia accepted the call into ministry in October 2001 under the leadership of Rev. Arthur B. Glover and Mrs. Brenda Glover. She then obtained her undergraduate degree from Morgan State University in 2008 and a graduate degree in Theology from St. Mary’s Seminary in 2011.
In April of 2009, she was ordained an Itinerant Deacon, and in April of 2011, she was ordained an Itinerant Elder in the 61st Session of Washington Annual Conference in the Second Episcopal District, by Bishop Adam J. Richardson Jr.
She has served on the ministerial staff of Falls Road AME Church and assisted at Cowdensville AME Church for several years. Rev. Alicia formerly served as the Capital District secretary for 13 years under the leadership of Presiding Elders Goodwin Douglas, Louis Charles-Harvey, Johnny Calhoun, Charles T. Sembly, and Dededrick Rivers. During that time, she also served as an executive assistant for Elder Calhoun and currently serves as the Capital District Executive Administrator to Presiding Elder Rev. Dr. Dededrick O. Rivers.
On April 16, 2021, during the 71st Session of the Washington Annual Conference, she was appointed the Pastor of Cowdensville AME Church by Bishop James L. Davis.
While serving at Cowdensville, Rev. Alicia became a member of the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) Religious Council and the founding advisor of a student group named Kingdom Christian Fellowship (KCF).
Rev. Alicia is constantly amazed and grateful for the love, mercy, and grace that God has showered her family with over the years. Philippians 1:6, which states, “He who has begun a good work in you shall perform it until the day of Jesus Christ”, reminds her that God is not finished with her yet!
Rev. Aaron Hudnall Jr.
1st Gentleman & Associate Minister
Aaron Armstrong Hudnall Jr. was born and raised in Northumberland County, Virginia. He moved to Baltimore, Maryland at the age of 18. Aaron accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in July of 1987 and his whole life changed. It was a few years later that Aaron understood that God had called him to preach the Gospel. He joined Falls Road A.M.E. Church in 1993, under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Arthur B. Glover.
In 1995 he stepped out on faith and starting his own business, H & H Lawn Care and Maintenance. In 1996, he married Alicia Black of Manassas, Virginia. In 1997 he was ordained a local deacon by Bishop Vinton R. Anderson of the Washington Annual Conference. Over the next four years Aaron and Alicia were given three wonderful miracles in the forms of Naomi, Aaron III, and Faith Hudnall. Rev. Hudnall served on the Ministerial Staff at Falls Road for over 20 years most recently under the leadership of Pastor Raymond F. Edmonds, Jr.
In April of 2021 Rev. Aaron Hudnall accompanied his wife to the new pastoral assignment of Cowdensville A.M.E. Church, located in Arbutus Maryland. There Rev. Hudnall serves as an associate minister and the Trustee Board Pro-Tem.
Rev. Hudnall walks everyday of his life knowing that he has a loving Father who has always provided for him and his family. This knowledge allows him to walk with confidence in the God that he loves and serves. His favorite hymn is Lead Me, Guide Me. One scripture in particular that he loves is Romans 8:28 which says, “And we know that all things work together for the good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose”.
